This lemonade has been kicked up a notch with the addition of rosemary simple syrup, sparkling water, and a dash of cream. The result is an herby, fizzy, tangy, yet creamy drink that is perfect for the upcoming summer weather.
To make the rosemary simple syrup: In a small saucepan, combine water and sugar, and stir over medium high heat until sugar has melted. When the sugar-water comes to a simmer, add the rosemary springs and allow to simmer for about a minute. Remove from heat and let steep for about thirty minutes.
Tip: You may want to make these in individual glasses, so you can adjust the sweetness/tartness/creaminess to your liking. The amounts above are a guideline and you should adjust it to taste. In a cup, add ice, 1 cup of sparkling water, 1/4 cup of rosemary syrup, 2T of lemon juice, and 2T cream. Stir to combine, and drink!
